Organ Donations Jump In Sarnia

Sarnia continues to lead the way on organ and tissue donations.

New data from the Trillium Gift of Life Network showed 47% of Sarnia residents are registered organ donors, well above the provincial average of 30%

And 13 Sarnia residents are currently waiting for a medically urgent organ transplant

The statistics also showed province-wide, deceased organ donation increased by 30%.

About 1,500 Ontarians are currently waiting for an organ transplant.
