Sarnia police are investigating another robbery.
Constable John Sottosanti says it happened around 10:30am Tuesday morning.
"Sarnia police, along with the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Sarnia police and the Ontario Provincial Police Canine Unit are on scene in regards to a robbery that happened on Confederation just south of Lansdowne Ave.," says Sottosanti.
"A suspect fled on foot and there's a strong police presence in the area."
Reports from the scene indicate the robbery was at LocaLender Plus at 1137 Confederation St., but police have not confirmed that.
Motorists are asked to avoid the area of Confederation St. and Lansdowne Ave. while the investigation continues.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Sarnia Police Service or Crime Stoppers.
This incident follows a robbery at the CIBC bank at Front and Lochiel streets in downtown Sarnia on February 1. Two women were arrested in connection with that incident.
