The City of Sarnia has set the date for a community information meeting about the former Sarnia General Hospital site.
On December 12 city council supported a staff report asking that a new request for proposals be issued for the sale of the Mitton St. property.
It was agreed a community meeting would be held first, and that has now been set for February 1 at 7pm at Lochiel Kiwanis Community Centre.
A brief presentation on the RFP process will be provided followed by an informal discussion to engage the community and receive feedback.
Staff plans to finalize the RFP following the meeting and issue it on or about February 10 with a closing date of May 31.
