Annual Food Drive Supporting Inn Of The Good Shepherd

Blackburn Radio's K 106.3 held its annual Food Drive Friday morning at The Home Depot.

The food and cash donations will go to the Inn of the Good Shepherd food bank.

Executive Director Myles Vanni says they see about they're seeing about 1,850 people visit the food bank on a regular basis. He says they're hoping to restock the shelves to get them through the always busy winter season.

"Particularly hygiene items, soaps, shampoos, laundry soap, feminine products, peanut butter, cereal and always school lunch items," says Vanni. "We have 720 kids every month accessing the food bank, so we go through a lot of school lunch items."

Donations can be dropped off all weekend at Home Depot on Quinn Dr.

Sarnia Christian School students will also be collecting food for the Inn of the Good Shepherd during Saturday's Santa Claus Parade.
