The second annual 24-hour video game marathon for charity began at 2pm Friday at Lambton Mall.
A temporary living room has been set up in the middle of the mall for four local gamers: Darryl Heater, Cian Poore, Erin Percival, as well as organizer and Blackburn Radio’s own Max Major.
Major says last year they raised about $2,400 for Noelle's Gift, and hope to raise $3,000 this year for Big Brothers Big Sisters Sarnia-Lambton.
"It was neat because [last year] the donations didn't just come locally, we have two ways to enter money to the cause," says Major. "You can either come by the Lambton Mall and donate during mall hours while we are here until 2pm [Saturday] or you can do it online."
Major says in 2015 they collected some international donations.
"They didn't donate much. But, it's neat that a guy in Australia would pitch in money to a charity he will never see the benefit of," he says.
