Teens Brighten Exmouth Business

A Lambton County youth art program has given a face-lift to the side wall of Kwik Kopy on Exmouth St.

About a dozen kids aged 13-18 completed the weeklong project as part of Random Acts of Art Workshop: Mural Madness last week.

Coordinator at the County of Lambton Kristi Sills says the program helps children develop a variety of useful skills.

"The whole point is to make sure they have a positive experience and it gives them an opportunity to make themselves visible and have a voice," says Sills. "The instructor usually learns something from the process as well."

Sills says they've been running the program since 2009, and since it's free to sign up, there is usually a waiting list.
