The public is invited to attend tours of St. Clair and SCITS high schools this week.
Accommodation Review Committee member Mary Ethier says the purpose is to compare both facilities and gather input from those who require accessibility.
"The issue with the accessibility is that they're painting kids as having issues around accessibility, and we know for a fact there was a student who needed wheelchair assistance and was told that SCITS was the only school that could accommodate her," she says. "But now they're using lack of accessibility as an issue against SCITS."
The St. Clair tour is scheduled for 2:30pm Monday and the SCITS one will be held at 2:30pm Wednesday.
Those interested in attending are required to contact the school beforehand.
