Snow Squall Watch For North And East Lambton

Environment Canada has issued another snow squall watch for Sarnia-Lambton.

An Arctic cold front will cross southern Ontario Friday with the coldest air of the winter season flooding into the region. As a result, the national weather agency says a band of intense snow squalls is expected to develop Friday evening.

Snow accumulations of 5 cm to 10 cm (2 to 4 in) are possible with the snow squalls likely to lock in from southern Lake Huron Saturday with more significant amounts from near Grand Bend extending to areas to the southeast.

Local amounts of 15 cm (6 in) are possible Saturday with blowing snow on northwest winds gusting to 50 km/h.

Bitterly cold wind chill values nearing -30 C are forecast.
