Startup Sarnia-Lambton Supports Entrepreneurs

A new service has launched locally to encourage local entrepreneurship and innovation.

Startup Sarnia-Lambton, operating out of the Western Research Park, provides a central space for interested individuals with the tools and services they need to succeed.

Lambton College Director of Entrepreneurship Jon Milos says operations out of the Western Sarnia-Lambton Research Park is open to all members of the community.

"If you have a concept, if you have an idea, and you think this could be a viable business, you should come into this facility and we'll help you achieve those goals," says Milos, noting entrepreneurship is the key to keeping Sarnia-Lambton competitive provincially and nationally.

"We need to diversify, we need to increase the economic base of our community, and we believe it's through entrepreneurship."

The service brings together resources from six community partners, also including the Sarnia-Lambton Economic Partnership, Sarnia-Lambton Business Development Corporation, Sarnia Lambton Chamber of Commerce, and TechAlliance of Southwestern Ontario.

Those interested are invited to contact Startup Sarnia-Lambton or the six partners.
