Sting Acquire Experienced Goaltender

Hot on the heels of Wednesday night's blockbuster trade with the Ottawa 67's, the Sarnia Sting have added depth and experience in goal.

Late Thursday afternoon, Sting General Manager Nick Sinclair announced the club has acquired overage goaltender Charlie Graham from the Hamilton Bulldogs.

In exchange 1998-born goaltender, Kaden Fulcher of Brigden, heads to Hamilton.

Graham, a Toronto native, has a .906 save percentage over five OHL seasons.

Sinclair says it is a move made to really solidify the team's goaltending situation.

"Justin Fazio has been strong in goal for us thus far, and we feel that the addition of Charlie gives us one of, if not the best 'one-two punches' in the league," when it comes to the goaltending position," say Sinclair in a news release. "He's a guy who's been around the league for five seasons, and has proven that he's more than capable of stealing games for his club."

Sinclair adds that Fulcher has a very bright future in the OHL and beyond.

"He's going to have a chance to play more regularly with the Bulldogs, and continue his development as an OHL goaltender," says Sinclair. "He's a tremendous young man and we wish him nothing but the best going forward."

Graham will join the Sting lineup, along with Travis Konecny and Sam Studnicka, Friday night when the Sting host the Owen Sound Attack at the Sarnia Sports and Entertainment Centre.
