Students Ready For Another Miracle

The 32nd annual St Pat's Irish Miracle is this Saturday. Over 500 volunteers, students and staff will canvass the city collecting non perishable food items for the needy this Christmas.

They're looking to follow up their biggest totals ever, where they collected over 8,500 bags of food for Saint Vincent De Paul Society, and canvassed every house in Sarnia, Point Edward and Brights Grove last year. Student and Head Chair of the Irish Miracle Erin Potvin says growing up in Sarnia she has fond memories of the tradition. Residents are asked to leave their donations outside their door to help speed up collection. Donations help fill hampers to be distributed by the Saint Vincent de Paul Society. They will be out from 9am until noon Saturday and community volunteers are welcome.
