24h Gaming Marathon Supports Noelle's Gift

Four local gamers will be calling Lambton Mall home as part of an effort to raise money for a good cause.

Starting Friday, the group will play video games for 24 hours in a temporary living room set up in the mall.

Organizer and Blackburn Radio's own Max Major says they have a number of games they will tackle during the first ever video game marathon.

"We're going to mix it up because we want it to be interesting for people, so we're definitely playing a lot of crowd pleasing games," says Major. "Golden Eye 007 on the N64, and Street Fighter, Mario Party, and Mario Kart and all these games that a lot of people have fond memories of."

The inaugural event kicked off at 2pm near EB Games and continues until Saturday afternoon.

Major says they are hoping to raise at least $2,000 for Noelle's Gift. You can donate in person or online at playingforcharity.com.
