Sting's Zacha Named Player Of The Week

Sarnia Sting forward Pavel Zacha has been named OHL Player of the Week.

The New Jersey Devils prospect scored three goals and added three assists for six points in two home games last week. Zacha's week was highlighted by a career-high five-point performance on Saturday night scoring his first career hat-trick and adding two assists as first star of a 6-2 win over the Niagara IceDogs. On Friday night Zacha picked up an assist on the Sting’s lone goal scored by Jeff King in the club’s 1-0 shutout of the Owen Sound Attack. The 18-year-old from Brno, Czech Republic, is playing in his second OHL season with the Sting after being chosen first overall in the 2014 CHL Import Draft. A sixth overall pick of the Devils in the 2015 NHL Draft, Zacha has already signed his entry-level contract and currently leads the Sting in scoring with 12 goals and eight assists for 20 points in 17 games.
