Lambton Public Health has confirmed the second positive finding of west nile virus in the county this year.
The agency says mosquitoes collected from a trap on George St. in Forest August 12, have tested positive for the disease.
A dead bird found in Sarnia in June also tested positive for west nile.
Supervisor Lori Lucas says humans can contract the disease if bitten by an infected mosquito. She notes the majority of people that get west nile don't get sick.

In Ontario, two human cases have been reported this year. Lucas urges residents to prevent the spread of west nile by eliminating standing water, and keeping eves troughs clear.
