Giant Tiger opens its doors to the public during the grand opening of the London Rd. store Saturday.
The store was originally scheduled to open April 11, but rescheduled to beginning of June following construction delays.
Owner Leo Suglio has been in retail for 32 years and now owns both Giant Tiger stores in the city. He says this new store has an upgraded feel to it.

Suglio says that space is one area the Exmouth store is lacking.
"This one here we've been able to give them space back, which makes for a much better shopping experience," he says.
The London Rd. retail store is a spacious 21,872 sq ft and employs 40 full and part-time staff.
Event Associate Caitlin Farnham explains they have an exciting grand opening planned for the day.

As well, there will be promotional giveaways, free face painting, a charity BBQ and of course a visit from Friendly, the Giant Tiger.
"We're looking forward to a fantastic opening and a bright future in this part of town," says Suglio.
Started in 1961, Giant Tiger is now Canada's largest discount chain with more than 200 stores and over 7,000 employees.
