Local housing starts dipped in April.
CMHC Senior Market Analyst Anthony Passarelli says there's been fewer starts compared to last year.

Starts year-to-date are at 18, down from 32 the first four months of last year.
The numbers include Sarnia, St. Clair Township and Pt. Edward.
The number of urban single-detached starts across the country was up 11.4 per cent.
