An expert panel review of literature and studies into health disorders caused by wind turbines has found specific relationships between exposure to wind turbine noise and annoyance.
W.A.I.T. - We're Against Industrial Turbines - spokesman Santo Giorno says the Council of Canadian Academies says the study found that exposure to long-term chronic annoyance can lead to stress which in turn can result in cardiovascular, nervous, endocrine and psychological problems.
Giorno says the panel also found there was a lack of research into the negative health effects of wind turbines but doubts wind developers will take any notice of the study.
