Labour Ministry Investigating Watford Workplace Injury

Ontario's Labour Ministry is investigating after a worker was injured at a Watford business this week. The incident occurred at Forest Agri Services Tuesday. Ministry spokesperson William Lin says an employee of Wilcox Brothers of Watford Ltd., was replacing a defective valve on a grain elevator when he was struck by a section of downspout that was being removed.

Lin says the ministry has issued five orders: One regarding the use of the boom truck with a related stop work order, another for failing to secure the scene, an order to provide documentation and an order regarding the use of guide ropes pertaining to the movement of the downspout. The investigation continues.
