We'll see another increase to our hydro rates beginning May 1.
In a news release Bluewater Power says rates for residential customers will edge up 0.3 per cent on the delivery portion of the bill.
For residents consuming 800 kWh of electricity that represents a monthly hike of 34 cents.
General service customers consuming 2,000 kWh will notice a $3.22 increase per month.
Half of the increase is related to the charge to operate Bluewater Power's distribution system. The other half is the result of increased transmission connection and network charges.
