Sarnia-Lambton residents should be very happy February is finally over.
Environment Canada's Senior Climatologist David Phillips says it was a record month for the area.
Phillips says the average temperature for February was -12 C (10 F), eight degrees below normal.
He says not only was it the coldest February recorded, it was the coldest month ever.

Phillips says we also saw more snow than normal, 10 cm to 15 cm (4 - 6 in) more than a typical February.
Spring officially arrives Friday, March 20.
