Change On The Horizon For Bingo Industry

Changes are in the making to try to help the beleaguered bingo industry.

Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation spokesman Tony Bitonti says a "play-on-demand", electronic form of bingo has had positive results at two test halls in Windsor.

Bitonti says the OLG will install the new touch screens at halls willing to pay for renovations needed to accompany the new forms of bingo.

Bingo Country, the only bingo operation locally, held a meeting earlier this week with charity representatives to discuss the new program.

Company officials have not been available for comment.
