People visiting the Grand Bend area today will notice some activity on the northeast break wall.
Canadian Coast Guard spokesperson Carol Launderville says the shore light, which CCG owns and operates, reached the end of its operational life and is being replaced with a new one.
She says the work is being done by Canadian Coast Guard staff.

Launderville says the new shore light will look nearly identical to the original one, only a bit wider.
The tower is 24 ft high or 7.3 m.
