2014 Accessibility Award Winners Announced

The 2014 Accessibility Award Winners have been announced.

The list of accessibility champions was compiled by the City of Sarnia's Accessibility Advisory Committee, the Breaking Barriers to Business program and nominations from the community.

The awards recognize businesses and individuals who've excelled in promoting an inclusive environment and shopping experience for people with disabilities.

Dollar Tree and St. Clair Auto Repair are being recognized for taking steps to provide ideal accessibility.

The Beer Store on Confederation St. is honoured for exceptional leadership in customer service.

Bluewater Cheer is recognized for its initiatives to integrate people with disabilities at its gym.

Galaxy Theatres is honoured with ensuring exceptional physical accessibility for people with disabilities at its theatre.

The Imperial Theatre and Sunset Golf Course have been awarded for going "Above and Beyond" when providing customer service to individuals with disabilities.
