Just Six Undefeated Teams Left At ISC Worlds In Kitchener

At the ISC World Softball Tournament in Kitchener, there are just six undefeated teams left in the winners bracket.

The Hill United Chiefs clobbered the Nith River Monsters 8-1. Chiefs centre fielder Brad Ezekiel crushed a grand slam in a 5-run second inning giving Hill United a solid lead. And starter Adam Folkard pitched five innings giving up just one run and two hits. Nith River starter Tyler Randerson was tagged with the loss.

With the team's first loss, Nith River drops to the loser's bracket and will play at 10 a.m. Thursday while Hill United plays Circle Tap Thursday night at 6 p.m.

The Circle Tap Dukes shut out the Kitchener Hallman Twins 2-0 last night with Roman Godoy pitching the four hit shut out.

The Dukes scored in the bottom of the first and third innings to give Godoy the lead to work with.

The other four undefeated teams are scheduled to play Wednesday night with the New York Gremlins against Bloomington at 5 p.m. and the Kitchener Hallman Cubs to face Ostrander at 7 p.m. in the bottom half of the winner's bracket.
