OHL Wrap: Attack Edge Bulldogs; Culina Denies Niagara

Mack Guzda stopped 22 shots to lift the Owen Sound Attack over Hamilton 2-1.

Nick Suzuki's unassisted goal midway through the second would stand as the game winner. Jackson Doherty also scored for the Attack, beating the Bulldogs Kaden Fulcher just three-and-a-half minutes into the game. He was assisted by Daylon Groulx and Brett McKenzie.

Matthew Strome was the lone scorer for the Bulldogs.

The Attack are back in action on Saturday when they welcome the Erie Otters to Bayshore. Puck drops at 7:30 p.m.

Kitchener 6 Niagara 0

Mario Culina stopped all 34 shots he faced for his first OHL shut out as the Kitchener Rangers shut out Niagara 6-0.

The Rangers chased Stephen Dhillion from the Ice Dogs net after the second period after he allowed five of Kitchener's goals on 19 shots. Colton Incze made 12 saves in relief.

Giviani Smith opened the scoring just 44 seconds into the game. Kole Sherwood added insurance with a successful penalty shot at 8:04 of the first. Riley Damiani scored just over two minutes later to put the Rangers up 3-0 heading into the second.

Nick McHugh got things started early in the middle frame with a goal at 1:18. Eric Guest scored short handed at 15:52 to to make it 5-0. Adam Mascherin scored on the power play early in the third to round out the Rangers offense.

Damiani led the Rangers with a goal and two assists.

The Rangers host Erie on Friday night at 7:30 p.m.
