Aaron Armstrong Launching New Summer Hockey School In Listowel

Hockey players in the Listowel and surrounding areas are going to have a unique learning opportunity in a few weeks.

Local hockey star Aaron Armstrong, who currently plays for the Ryerson Rams, is hosting his first ever hockey school. Aaron says he had been sitting on the idea for awhile.

"I've always thought somewhere along the line I'd try to start a hockey school, to try to give back to the local community, and as I've spent a few years away now, playing not so close to home, I've always wanted to try to stay connected."

Aaron will be hosting four evening sessions at the Listowel Memorial Arena starting Monday, August 14th. Aaron says that skill development will be a focus for the young players that attend.

"What I'm going to try to focus on is the players that want to come out, regardless of what their goals or aspirations are for the season, my hope is just to help them reach their goals throughout the week."

The evening sessions begin on Monday, August 14th and end on the 17th, all at the Listowel Memorial Arena. The sessions are 20 dollars each, and it isn't mandatory to attend all four. All the proceeds are going toward an education fund for orphans in Cambodia to attend school. For more information, email armstronghockeyschool@gmail.com.
