Peters Brothers Join Hometown Heroes Hockey Game

The Peters brothers from Blyth will be part of the 2nd Annual Hometown Heroes 'Raise a Little Health' charity hockey game in Goderich.

Justin Peters, a goalie is currently with the Washington Capitals.

Anthony Peters, also a goalie just capped a tremendous season playing in three different levels of hockey finishing his season with the Rochester Americans in the AHL.

Youngest brother Alex is coming off an injury from last season and looks forward to playing with the Plymouth Whalers and attending training camp with the Dallas Stars this fall.

The Hometown Heroes “Raise a Little Health” charity hockey game takes place Thursday, July 23rd in Goderich at the Maitland Recreation Centre.

The goal is to raise $50,000 for three local organizations; the Goderich-Huron YMCA’s Strong Kids; Gateway Centre of Excellence in Rural Health; and Alexandra Marine & General Hospital.

The game will feature former and current NHL stars, including former Detroit Red Wings Forward and Stanley Cup Champion, Boyd Devereaux; former NHLer Dave McLlwain, current Buffalo Sabers Forward Ryan O’Reilly; and his brother Cal O’Reilly, who is also with the Buffalo Sabers.

Tickets for the Hometown Heroes charity hockey game can be purchased at Ben Lobb’s constituency offices in Goderich and Port Elgin.
