Owen Sound Attack right wing Zach Nastasiuk is one of the finalists for the OHL’s Red Tilson Trophy, which recognizes the most outstanding player of the year.

The Ontario Hockey League announced the finalists for the league’s major awards for the 2014-15 regular season on Wednesday.

All finalists for the Red Tilson Trophy were nominated by the member teams of the OHL as their most outstanding player for the 2014-15 regular season. The Red Tilson Trophy is voted on by the sports writers and broadcasters in the OHL.

In addition to Nastasiuk being nominated, Attack centre Erik Bradford has been nominated for the Leo Lalonde Memorial Trophy for overage player of the year. As well, Chris Bigras is nominated for the Max Kaminsky Trophy for defenceman of the year.

Attack goalie Michael McNiven was a recipient of the F.W. “Dinty” Moore Trophy for best rookie GAA.

The 2015 OHL Awards Ceremony will take place on June 9 at the Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto. However, award recipients will be announced periodically throughout the 2015 OHL playoffs, which begins on Thursday.
