Workers feel music makes them more productive

Canadian workers like to tune in at work, and a new survey suggests music could help them do a better job.

A survey from staffing firm Accountempts shows 77 per cent of respondents turn on the tunes at work, with the 18 to 34 age group most likely to listen to music at work.

61 per cent of professionals felt they were more productive when music is playing at the office.  Pop, rock, alternative and classical songs provided the biggest productivity boost.

41 per cent are allowed to listen to music at work with no restrictions, while 30% could listen but had to use headphones.
