Panovski Will Be On Witness Stand For Third Day

Boris Panovski will be back on the stand in Goderich Thursday morning in his first-degree murder trial.

The 74-year-old is charged in the fatal shooting of Don Frigo at the Hullett Wildlife Area on September 14th, 2014 and for attempted murder in the wounding of Frigo's wife, Eva.

Under cross-examination by the Crown Wednesday, Panovski maintained he spent much of that Saturday afternoon driving around Huron County looking for a new place to hunt geese.

He also explained his sudden departure to Macedonia on Monday, September 16th was a result of seeing his estranged family members together at church. He admitted he knew Macedonia did not have an extradition with Canada but he came back to Canada as soon as he heard Frigo had been killed and he was a suspect.

He told the court he did not kill Frigo, and considered him a friend.

The Crown's cross-examination resumes Thursday morning.
