Arrest Made In Death Of Vanastra Woman

A man is in custody following the death of a Vanastra woman.

Ontario Provincial Police in Huron County confirmed Saturday night that Laura Wigelsworth was murdered. The determination came following a post-mortem performed Friday in London.

On Saturday, police announced that they had arrested a suspect in connection with the death. The suspect's name has not been released.

Wigelsworth, 27, was last seen walking along Quebec Rd. in Vanastra on Wednesday night. Her body was found Thursday along Front Rd.

The OPP says members from the Huron County detachment, along with investigators from the West Region Crime Unit under the direction of Detective Inspector Randy Wright of the Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB), continue to investigate.

No further details were released late Saturday night.
