Snow Squalls For Christmas

Mother Nature and Jack Frost will team up over Christmas and bring some snow to the region.

If you are planning to be on the road today, it's a quiet start with conditions described as bare and wet on the main highways and county roads across Huron, Perth, Bruce, Grey and Wellington counties. There are some snow covered roads as you move further north on the Bruce Peninsula. Visibility is good.

But snow will start falling later today with some localized squalls. That trend will continue into tonight and tomorrow on Christmas Day.

Wind gusts could get over 50 km/h at times with blowing and drifting. Snowfall amounts could be 5 to 10.

Localized squalls continue into Boxing Day and it will be much colder. High of -11 by Tuesday.
