Special Weather Statement for Sunday and Monday

Snow is in the forecast as a new work week gets underway.

Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for the following Midwestern Ontario regions:

  • Goderich - Bluewater - Southern Huron County
  • Wingham - Blyth - Northern Huron County
  • Listowel - Milverton - Northern Perth County
  • Stratford - Mitchell - Southern Perth County
  • Bruce Peninsula - Sauble Beach - Tobermory
  • Saugeen Shores - Kincardine - Southern Bruce County
  • Hanover - Dundalk - Southern Grey County
  • Owen Sound - Blue Mountains - Northern Grey County
Forecasters are looking at a two-part attack of the white stuff. A cold front is expected to move through the area on Sunday. With that could bring a heavier band of snow that could reduce visibilities in some areas when traveling. A couple of centimetres could fall within a short period of time.

A more widespread system of snow is expected Monday and into Monday night as an Alberta clipper will bring measurable snow to most of southern Ontario. Snowfall amounts are forecast to be 5cm to 10cm though some local areas may see more.
