Hanover and District Hospital has achieved the highest level awarded by Accreditation Canada, for the second straight time.
President and CEO Katrina Wilson says the “Accredited with Exemplary Standing" award demonstrates the organization exceeded rigorous requirements.
Katrina Wilson proudly states “Hanover and District Hospital delivers excellent “exemplary” service; we are a cohesive team of caregivers, leaders, and partners who put patients first."
That level means the hospital has shown 100% compliance with required organizational practices and achieved 95% or more of the high priority standards in all services areas.
That includes Acute Care, Operating Room, Emergency Room, Obstetrics, Laboratory, Diagnostic Imaging, Emergency Management and Environmental Services.
The Accreditation Survey took place November 12-16 of this year.
Comments received by the surveyors during the debrief include: “The Board of Governor’s dedication and engagement”; “Quality initiatives are a priority”; and “the staff are very aware of their patient demographics and sees them and their families to be true partners,” and " HDH continues to demonstrate quality patient care and accountability."
