No Action On Wind Turbines Says Huron-Bruce MPP

Huron Bruce MPP Lisa Thompson says the Liberal government is not taking wind turbine noise complaints seriously.

Thompson says it's been three months since she asked the former minister of environment and climate change to take action.

She says she hears over and over again from residents who say they never receive any response to their complaints, or action on their files.

She says in April, Glen Murray promised action, and in August she invited the new minister to visit the Industrial turbine locations to see the impact first hand, but she has received no reply.

"At the end of last session, Glen Murray promised to take action," says Thompson. "In question period on April 12 he even stated 'No one should have to suffer noise or noise pollution from any source, and certainly not wind turbines in their community.'"

"In August I wrote a letter to the new Minister inviting him to visit these people and their homes to see first-hand the impact that IWTs are having on residents, yet I have still not received a reply," says Thompson. "It's shameful that the Premier, and the current Minister of Environment are not taking action. Enough is enough."
