Environment Canada says it was an EF-2 tornado that touched down in Hawkesville, southwest of Elmria, Friday night.
A team investigated the damage Saturday where farm buildings, sheds and power lines were damaged.
There was also a tornado in Leamington Friday night.
It was and EF-0 that damaged a greenhouse and some solar panels.
There have been nine confirmed tornadoes in southwestern Ontario.
The average is 14 tornadoes a year.
