Youth Job Workshops Planned In St. Marys

Youth in the St. Marys area will get a chance to prepare for a career.

Two workshops are planned at the Pyramid Recreation Centre to look at personality dimensions and generational differences.

The first workshop is tomorrow from 2pm to 3pm with a focus on communication in a multi generational workplace.

The second workshop on August 1 will help youth identify their personality type to enhance their skills and job search.

The workshops stem from an online survey in the spring by Perth4Youth.

Youth between 13 and 21 can register at the door.

The town and Partners in Employment are putting together the workshops

“The feedback we received from the Perth4Youth survey told us that youth want more learning opportunities,” says Laurel Davies Snyder, manager of the Town of St. Marys Economic Development and Culture. “Topics of interest include personal growth, transferable skills, workplace opportunities, job search preparation and mental health. We’re excited to offer these two workshops to help youth prepare for their future careers. ”
