Huron Hospice May Receive Capital Funding

Members of the Huron Residential Hospice Board got some very exciting news last week.

Site Development Chair Kathy O’Reilly explains until last week they knew they were eligible for $105,000 a year, per bed, from the province to help cover operating costs.

But O’Reilly says they found out last week the province, for the first time ever, was also providing one-time funding for capital costs and she understands that could be as much as $200,000 per bed.

O’Reilly adds they haven’t had time yet to look into the details, but they’re very excited and grateful for the additional funding.
