Countdown To East Wawanosh 150th

Members of North Huron Council have been invited to participate in the parade of the 150th Anniversary of East Wawanosh Township, being held on June 30 at the Belgrave Community Centre.

Secretary Treasurer Joan Vincent, wife of current North Huron Reeve Neil Vincent, says the celebration has been over two years in the making but it's good to see everything coming together.

The parade begins at 11am on Saturday. Council seemed keen on participating in the parade but will wait until next council meeting to decide on an exact plan.

Vincent noted it will be good to catch up with people at the reunion on Saturday, July 1 between 2pm and 4pm where attendees can see a display about the school, as well as catch up with former teachers and principles from years past.

A meat raffle tickets, shirts, hats, history books will all be available.
