The mayor of Central Huron says the buildings on the main street in Clinton that were destroyed in Saturday's fire are being torn down.
Jim Ginn says some preliminary demolition Tuesday will allow technicians to get into the buildings and turn off the gas and other utilities.
A small crowd has gathered in Clinton to watch as the process gets underway.
The main demolition is scheduled to start Wednesday.
