Residents Can Help Huron Health Unit Identify Priorities

The Huron County Health Unit wants residents to help identify priorities for their department in the coming years.

Public health focuses on the whole population to prevent illness and injury, promote well being, and protect health.

Residents are being asked how familiar they are with the services provided, what they see as public health priorities, and what the greatest threat to public health in Huron County is.

Current public health services include education, policy development to make the healthy choice an easy choice, monitoring health and wellness patterns and responding when needed.

The health unit also looks after inspections for food and water safety, and individual services like immunization, dental care, and infant support.

Residents can go on line to huronhealthunit.ca to answer the survey, or call.
