Grey Sauble Conservation Water Condition Statement Issued

The Grey Sauble Conservation Authority is also issuing a statement that conditions could lead to localized flooding.

Residents and road crews are being asked to ensure their culverts are clear of debris to prevent drainage issues. The melted snow means saturated soil and runoff.

For now, Grey Sauble river flows are average or even receding. However, the significant rain in the forecast could lead to seasonal flooding depending on the intensity and duration.

Larger streams and rivers are expected to rise to traditional spring runoff levels, but small watercourses and drainage areas could be overwhelmed. Flooding in low lying areas may also occur.

Elevated flows mean people should stay well back of watercourses due to slippery banks and icy cold fast water.
