Perth County Crash Kills One, Injures Three

Ontario Provincial Police are investigating a collision that killed a Perth East man.

It happened Sunday just before 8:30am on Line 67, east of Perth Road 136 in Perth East Township.

OPP say a car collided with a horse-drawn buggy.   One of the occupants of the buggy, identified by the OPP as 74-year-old David Kuepfer, was transported to hospital with critical injuries and was later pronounced dead.

All of the other three occupants of the buggy suffered injuries.  Two were taken to hospital where one has since been treated and released.   The remaining passenger was airlifted to a London hospital and remains in stable condition.

The car that hit the buggy was driven by an 18-year-old, who was not injured.

Members from the West Region OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigation Team were on scene trying to determine exactly what happened.
