Volunteers Tie Red Scarves Along Wingham's Main Street

The Huron County Health Unit and Regional HIV/AIDS Connection are spearheading the third annual Red Scarf Project.

Volunteers and staff are putting red scarves on lamp and sign posts all along Josephine St. in Wingham. They also handed out scarves and ribbons to increase awareness of the importance of education and services for those affected by HIV/Aids.

The red scarves made by volunteers are enlarged versions of the red ribbon, the international symbol of AIDS awareness.

The Regional HIV/AIDS Connection is a community inspired organization dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for individuals living with, at risk for or affected by the challenges of HIV/AIDS.
