It would appear that some people just aren't getting the message when it comes to preventing stolen vehicles.
Saugeen Shores Police say a number of recent residential break-ins as well as break-ins to vehicles in the Port Elgin area are under investigation.
A Waterloo Street residence was broken into around 2:15 Friday morning and the homeowner's wallet was stolen, along with the money inside it.
Police say they found the wallet on a nearby property.
Just hours later a white 2011 Nissan Murano was stolen from a home on Highland Street, the keys left inside the vehicle.
Police say they received 6 reports of vehicle break-ins and 5 of those involved smashing the passenger side window.
Again, police are reminding people to LOCK IT OR LOSE IT.
