Police Release Suspect Photo In Monkton Robbery

Police have released a photo of a suspect wanted in connection to a robbery at a Monkton convenience store.

The Ontario Provincial Police say on October 11 around 7:07pm, two men entered the T & J Variety store located on Winstanley St., and threatened the store clerk with a handgun. The suspects fled the scene heading south, after stealing an unknown amount of cash, lottery tickets and cigarettes.

The first suspect is described as male,  5’5” to 5’9” tall, with a slim build. He was last seen dressed in black pants black, a black Puma hooded sweatshirt with a bright yellow lining inside the hood and yellow accents along the zippers. Police have since provided a photo of this suspect which is shown above.

The second suspect is described as a male, 5’10” to 6’0" tall, with a solid build, wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, and an analog watch with a white face and hands.

Anyone with information regarding the robbery is asked to call the Perth County OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
