Provincial Police are taking what they call an "unprecedented approach" to their investigation into the unsolved murder of Frederick John Hatch.
The 65-year-old's body was discovered in mid-December of last year off Wellington Road, east of the 10th Line near Erin, Ontario.
Starting today (Monday, August 29th 2016) a black and white OPP van with pictures of the victim and details related to the investigation will roll through communities between Erin and Nepean, Ontario.
The Ottawa native had last been seen around 1pm on December 16th at a Dollar Tree Store in the Ottawa area.
Police are hoping the large moving billboard will help with information about the case.
The ongoing investigation includes members of the Wellington County OPP and other neighbouring detachments, the West Region Criminal Operations along with OPP Forensic Identification Services personnel.
Detective Inspector Andy Raffay of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch is the lead on the investigation.
