Community Foundation Grey Bruce Helps Mark Canada's 150th With Money

The Community Foundation Grey Bruce wants to help celebrate Canada's 150th anniversary of Confederation in 2017 by supporting eligible projects.

The foundation hopes the historic event will bring people and places together to dream big about their communities and their country.

The foundation will provide matching grants up to $15,000. to organizations mounting projects to mark the big day!

$50,000. is available in Grey Bruce with a focus on grassroots leadership and local celebrations.

The foundation wants to encourage Canadians to contribute to their community to foster a sense of belonging and leave a lasting legacy.

The deadline for applications is September 30th, 2016.

The focus of this program is to encourage community participation; to inspire a deeper understanding of the people, places and events that have shaped our country; and to build a vibrant and healthy community that engages all Canadians.

Created in 1994, the Community Foundation Grey Bruce has a mandate to strengthen Grey and Bruce communities through endowment building, grant making and community partnerships.
