Deadline Looms For Vanastra "Win This Space" Contest

Huron East is accepting innovative business ideas for their "Win This Space Contest" in Vanastra.

The competition asks budding entrepreneurs to submit their bright ideas for a business within the former RCAF/Canadian Forces Base.

Vanastra was once the critical centre for radar instruction of Allied forces during World War II. The former base has evolved into a light industrial, highway commercial and residential community with paved roads, green space and recreation centres.

You have until June 17th to enter your proposition.

Contestants will need to attend a kick off event, networking evenings, and three business builder coaching workshops.

A judging panel will determine the finalists who will pitch their idea at the contest finale.

The winner will be awarded the grand prize of funding for a twelve-month lease of the space for his or her new company, as well as a prize package of professional services from numerous sponsors.

Submission can be made to Huron East’s Economic Development Officer, Jan Hawley, PO Box 610, 72 Main Street, Seaforth, Ontario N0K 1W0 or to jhawley@huroneast.com (519.527.0160).
