Some particularly strong winds one night a couple of weeks ago damaged an area of the grandstand at the Clinton Raceway.
Mayor Jim Ginn says staff have reported some damage to the grand stand as well as a window that has fallen.
Ginn adds most of the damage is actually to the steel behind the seats and the area is now boarded up.
At this point, Ginn says they've notified their insurance agent and they're waiting for an assessment of the damage and a determination of what is covered.
